JEROME L. KOLKER, LCSW Jerry Kolker is a Pennsylvania licensed social worker whose clinical orientation is eclectic in nature with an emphasis on Gestalt Therapy. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work in 1978 from Hunter College School of Social Work, City University of New York. In 1993, he completed a three year certificate program at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia Institute. Mr. Kolker’s experience is quite varied including organizational consulting, staff training and development, and clinical work. In addition to his private practice at GKSW, Mr. Kolker is a Senior Consultant with Youthbuild, USA. In this role he has been involved in strategic planning and consultation to senior management. Mr. Kolker’s work is dedicated to assisting at risk youth and their families. Mr. Kolker also trains counselors in a nationwide Counselors Fellows Program to improve clinical skills of frontline staff. His previous experience includes nearly 15 years with Public/Private Ventures, a non-profit corporation that designs, manages, and evaluates social policy initiatives to help at risk youth. Mr. Kolker has also held positions of Adjunct Professor of Community Organization at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work; Adjunct Professor of Social Service Administration at Villanova University Human Organization Science Institute; and Adjunct Professor of Social Service Administration, Hunter College. Mr. Kolker’s clinical practice at GKSW spans the
range from late adolescence to the late adult years. He is most
interested in working with youth, young adults and their families as well
as helping people cope with work related issues. |
