Amy Poppel, LCSW (Wyndmoor & Center City Offices) practices individual, couples and family therapy. She sees adolescents through adults. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, post-partum depression, bipolar disorders, and life transitions across the lifespan.
Amy received her Masters in Social Services from Bryn Mawr College in 2004. In addition, she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Villanova University in 1990 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Her combined education and clinical experience has led to an avid interest in providing therapy to those newly diagnosed or living with physical illness. Amy has a clinical background in Eating Disorders and prior to joining GKSW she served as a Senior Therapist at The University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
Amy utilizes an empathic and collaborative approach to therapy and draws on her training in Object Relations, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to guide her work.
